Detailed surveys and assessments of the seabed and sub-seabed are a critical pre-requisite to the cost-effective design of marine structures and sub-sea installations.
FSME offers a comprehensive array of survey sensors and trained personnel for geophysical / hydrographic investigations, from inshore single beam bathymetry to full 2D Hi Res geophysical site investigation spreads. Packages are tailored to suit each customer's requirements, thus ensuring quality and relevance of data, always with a view to cost-effectiveness.
Geophysical Survey Services
FSME undertakes a wide range of tasks, including:
- Bathymetric charting of the sea floor for safety and critical engineering applications.
- Location and detection of man-made artifacts including debris, shipwrecks, ordnance and sub-sea structures.
- Profiling of shallow geological features and structures to assist with engineering studies and facility design.
- Sea-floor and sub-surface geotechnical assessment.
- Location and detection of geohazards such as shallow gas, hydrates, unstable sea floors, active geological zones and potential shallow water flow-zones to enable exploration drilling, facilities installation and production operations to be performed safely and efficiently.
Port, Harbour and Coastal Surveys
FSME provides a range of specialist inshore survey systems, vessels and teams to meet the requirements of the port, harbour and coastal engineering and construction communities, including:
- Hydrographic surveys.
- Navigation clearance surveys.
- Pre, interim and post dredge surveys for volumetric analysis, dredge costings and charting.
- Sand Searches for reclamation purposes.
